Minimum Requirements
- Appropriate university degree and professional qualification
- Teaching experience at senior high school level In Life Science (ability to teach Life Orientation would be advantageous).
- Current Registration with SACE
- Computer literacy and ability to integrate IT suitably in teaching/learning, however, special interest and further experience in this area will be advantageous.
- A dynamic, creative personality with strong interpersonal skills
- A commitment to full participation in the extra-mural activities of the school
- Teaching experience within the IEB system would be advantageous;
- Experience in the demands of the GET and FET curricula;
- Must have the ability to identify with the values and ethos of the school
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare for, teach and assess beyond the requirements of the CAP’s Document and Requirements;
- Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to healthy, connective and where possible cutting-edge teaching and learning;
- Set, mark and evaluate class work, homework, assessments, examinations and provide regular and meaningful feedback to students/staff/parents;
- Moderate formal assessments and research projects
- Monitor, encourage pastoral care;
- Engage and participate in the reflection and staff development process of the School.
